Bulldogs wrap up fall season in Texas

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State equestrian team returns to action this Thursday and Friday with a trip to Texas, competing at No. 5 Texas A&M and No. 8 Baylor to close out its fall slate this week. The Bulldogs look for their first win of the season this week.

WESTERN 'DOGS

Fresno State is 8-27-5 in the western events this season.
Horsemanship leads the crew with five wins.
Reining adds three wins.
Senior Alex Krebs leads the horsemanship group with a 2-2 record.
Senior Hannah Buijs has the team's only horsemanship MOP of the season.
After earning the MOP against Auburn, Buijs now has six horsemanship MOPs in her career. It is the most by any western rider on the team.
A trio of 'Dogs each have one win in the reining - Julianne Kelley, Shelby Robinette and Sarah Semrau.
Robinette has the team's only reining MOP of the season.
Robinette was named the September NCEA Reining Rider of the Month.

JUMPING SEAT 'DOGS

Fresno State is 9-29-2 in the jumping seat events this season.
Fences leads the crew with five points.
Flat adds four wins.
Senior Ana Bertozzi leads the fences group with a 2-2 record.
Junior Elle Martin leads the team with a 2-2 flat record.
Bertozzi earned the only jumping seat MOP of the season in the flat.
Bertozzi was named the September Big 12 Flat Rider of the Month.

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M

Texas A&M is 3-3 (1-2 SEC) on the season.
The three wins are against Fresno State, UC Davis and No. 10 South Carolina.
Texas A&M has lost two in a row, to two Top 5 ranked teams.
The Aggies are competing at home for their first time since Oct. 8.

SCOUTING BAYLOR

Baylor is 1-4 on the season and 1-1 in Big 12 competition.
Baylor's only win of the season was a big 12-7 win over then-No. 1 TCU at home.
This Friday is Baylor's second home meet of the season. The Bears are 1-0 at home.
Baylor is fairly even in their jumping seat and western events. The Baylor jumping seat teams have a combined 18 wins and the western squad has 19 wins.
