Gladden set to be inducted in August

FRESNO, Calif. - Former Diamond 'Dog legend Dan Gladden will be inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame in August.
A Bulldog in 1978 and 1979 from San Jose, Gladden went on to an 11-year professional career from 1983-1993 and was a two-time World Series champion with the Twins in 1987 and 1991.
After leading the Bulldogs with 11 home runs and 53 RBI in his final season as a 'Dog in 1979, Gladden earned All-NCBA honors before signing with the San Francisco Giants as an undrafted free agent.
In his major league career, Gladden played in 1,196 games, smacked 74 home runs, drove in 446 RBI, stole 222 bases and scored 663 runs with the Giants, Twins and Detroit Tigers.
Gladden was inducted into the Bulldog Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011 and recently completed his 19th season as the full-time radio analyst for the Twins after the 2021 season which is the fifth-longest tenured radio or television broadcaster in club history.
The Twins Hall of Fame weekend is set for Aug. 20-21 against the Texas Rangers and he will be inducted along with Ron Gardenhire and Cesar Tovar.
