No. 8 Bulldogs best Biola, 15-7

FRESNO, Calif. – The No. 8 Bulldogs opened the 2022 Fresno State Invite with a 15-7 win over Biola, Friday night at the Aquatics Center.
Fresno State improves to 5-7 (0-0 GCC) on the season. Nine different Bulldogs recorded goals in the contest. Daphne Guevremont and Jillian Schultz led the offense with three goals apiece. Paula Nieto Jasny played a majority of the minutes in goal, recording five saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs held the Eagles scoreless through the first two quarters. This was the first time that the Bulldogs held an opponent scoreless through the opening 16 minutes. Fresno State scored six goals in the first quarter and four in the second quarter, taking a 10-0 lead into halftime.
Biola's offense was able to get on the board in the third quarter to avoid a shutout. The Eagles netted seven goals through the final 16 minutes, but the Bulldogs tabbed five of their own to take the win 15-7.

Fresno State continue tournament play tomorrow against Fresno Pacific at 12 p.m. and No. 17 Indiana at 7:30 p.m. in the Aquatics Center.
