No. 1 Oklahoma State defeats 'Dogs

STILLWATER, Okla. - The No. 8 Fresno State equestrian team fell 13-5 at No. 1 Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs move to 4-7 on the season and 1-4 in Big 12 meets.
Fresno State was downed 4-0 with a tie in the fences to start the meet, but scored its first points in the reining. The teams tied 2-2 in the reining with a tie from Lexee Padrick's 73. The Bulldog points came by Bailey Alexander with a 72.5 and Ashley Jackson with a 70.5. Alexander moves her winning streak to five-straight meets with the win over her Oklahoma State opponent.Â
The 'Dogs saw continued success in the western events with a 3-2 win in the horsemanship. Fresno State earned points from Alex Krebs, Kameron Thorn and Emily Maul.Â
Oklahoma State took the flat to ultimately take the win in the meet, out-scoring the Bulldogs 5-0 in the final event.Â
The Bulldogs return home for their home opener of the spring season on Saturday, Feb. 26 with a 1 p.m. meet against UC Davis. Parking and admission to the Student Horse Center are always free of charge.Â
