No. 3 seed Fresno State opens the Big 12 Championship against No. 2 seed TCU on Friday
FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State equestrian team saddles up for the 2022 Big 12 Championship this weekend at Diamond Creek Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas.

FRIDAY - No. 3 seed Fresno State vs No. 2 seed TCU // No. 1 seed Oklahoma State vs. No. 4 seed Baylor

THE BRACKET - Oklahoma State (10-2, 5-1) earned the top seed followed by TCU (10-5, 3-3) in the two-spot. Fresno State (6-8, 2-4) and Baylor (6-6, 2-4) round out the third and fourth seeds, respectively.

Fresno State and TCU, and Oklahoma State and Baylor will face off on Friday. The winners of both meets will compete for the championship on Saturday, while the losers will compete Saturday for third place.

No. 1 seed Oklahoma State: OSU finished the season 10-2 with a 5-1 conference record. The Cowgirls earned both wins over Fresno State this season. Oklahoma State's only losses this season are to then-No. 7 SMU and then-No. 5 TCU, both on the road.

No. 2 seed TCU: TCU is 10-5 this season, with a 3-3 Big 12 record. The 'Dogs split the meets with the Horned Frogs this season, with Fresno State earning the home victory in the fall but falling on the road in the spring. The teams will meet for the third time this season on Friday.

No. 4 seed Baylor: Baylor finished the season with a 6-6 overall record and 2-4 mark in conference play. The 'Dogs won the tiebreaker with Baylor for conference seedings after defeating them 12-6 at home for senior day. The teams split their regular season meets on the year.

- The Bulldog western riders compiled a 60-50-10 record this season.
- Horsemanship went 28-34-3 on the year.
- Reining was 32-16-7 this season.
- Senior Kameron Thorn led the horsemanship team with a 8-5 record.
- Senior Bailey Alexander led the reining squad with a 9-3-1 record.
- The Bulldogs earned 13 total western MOPs - seven horsemanship and six reining.
- Alexander was the Big 12 and NCEA Reining Rider of the Month for November.
- Alex Krebs was the Big 12 Horsemanship February Rider of the Month.
JUMPING SEAT 'DOGS
- The Bulldog jumping seat corp went 51-83-4 on the year.
- In the fences, Fresno State was 22-45-2.
- In the flat, the Bulldogs were 29-38-2.
- Senior Cecily Hayes led the Bulldogs in both jumping seat events, finishing the flat with a 8-5-1 mark and the fences with a 7-7 record.
- Fresno State won 11 total jumping seat MOPs - seven in flat and four in fences.
- Hayes was named the November Big 12 Flat Rider of the Month
