No. 59 ’Dogs earn another road win

FULLERTON/NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The No. 59-ranked Fresno State women's tennis team split two matches over the weekend in Southern California.
On Saturday, Fresno State (9-3) lost 4-1 at CSU Fullerton, and also had a previously scheduled match at Azusa Pacific cancelled due to inclement weather, but the Bulldogs closed the opening weekend of March with a 5-1 victory at CSUN on Sunday.
In Sunday's win, Fresno State took the early lead by quickly and convincingly winning at the top two doubles positions, and then added four singles victories at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 slots to put away the Matadors. Fresno State is now 6-3 in road nonconference contests this season.
