FRESNO, Calif. – On June 9, Fresno State head women's basketball coach Jaime White was selected to her second hall of fame as a coach since 2019. The first at Snow College, White has now been announced as a member of the Northern Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame.
Entering her ninth season as Fresno State's head women's basketball coach, White previously led the Northern Colorado for eight seasons where she remains the all-time leader in wins with 117. White earned those wins while leading the program through the Division II to DI transition. During her final four seasons, the Bears won 72 games.
Her teams appeared in the Big Sky Championships four times, including three in her last four years, and twice reaching the championship game. After sharing the 2010-11 Big Sky regular season championship, Northern Colorado advanced to its first-ever NCAA Division I postseason appearance when it participated in the Women's Basketball Invitation. The following two seasons, White led Northern Colorado into the WNIT, which was highlighted by the Bears' first-round victory over Wyoming in 2012 - the programs first-ever Division I postseason win.
White coached 15 All-Big Sky honorees including the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year three times in Courtney Stoermer in 2010-11 and D'shara Strange in both 2011-12 and 2012-13. Strange was also named the Big Sky Freshman of the Year in 2010-11. White also coached the Big Sky Newcomer of the Year in 2007-08 in Jamie Schroeder. Two of White's former student-athletes in Strange and Whitley Cox are in the UNC Hall of Fame.
Off the court, White had five teams earn a spot on the WBCA Academic Top 25.
