'Dogs Summer Baseball Update No. 1

FRESNO, Calif. -Â The Diamond 'Dogs summer league play is underway with nine Bulldogs in action in leagues around the country.
Payton Allen, Infielder, Portland Pickles
Allen has played in 16 games for the Pickles this summer hitting .283 from the plate ranking third on the team with 15 hits.
The soon-to-be senior has driven in 11 RBIs, scored 10 runs, added a double & home run while drawing seven walks and added three sacrifice flies & two stolen bases.
In a 9-7 win at Yakima Valley on June 24, the Visalia native went 2-for-4 with four RBI, a sacrifice fly and run scored.
Bobby Blandford, Outfielder, Duluth Huskies
Blandford has played in 16 games for the Huskies in the Northwest League hitting .281 from the dish.
He had tallied 18 hits, including six doubles, scored nine runs and drove in five RBI.
Tyler Davis, Catcher, Humboldt Crabs
Davis has played in 12 games for the Humboldt Crabs this summer collecting 13 hits with six going for extra bases with four doubles and two home runs.
The Fresno native has driven in 14 RBIs for the second-most on the club and added seven runs scored while drawing six walks.
On Opening Night on June 3, Davis went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and two runs scored.
Tommy Hopfe, Pitcher, Orleans Firebirds
Making his way to the Cape Cod League this summer, Hopfe has made four relief appearances for the Firebirds while leading the team with 10.1 innings pitched.
The Bakersfield native is tied for the team lead with nine strikeouts, allowed two earned runs and earned a win over Harwich on June 25 tossing 3.2 innings.
Ben Newton, Infielder, Anchorage Glacier Pilots
Newton has appeared in 11 games for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots this summer hitting .205 with eight hits, four runs, three RBI, seven walks and four strikeouts.
In a 8-5 win over the Mat Su Miners on June 27, Newton had a pair of singles, two RBI and scored a run.
Will Springer, Pitcher, Crystal Lake Cardinals
Springer has made one appearance with the Crystal Lake Cardinals tossing one inning on June 15 striking out a pair in a 6-1 loss to the Beecher Muskies.
Blake Wink, Infielder, Portland Pickles
Wink has played in four games for the Pickles with three hits in six at-bats and had a pair of hits on June 19 against Edmonton.
Carson Revay, Pitcher, Rochester Honkers (Incoming freshman)
Revay, a soon-to-be freshman pitcher from Stockton, has appeared in four games for the Rochester Honkers in the Northwest League.
He has tossed four innings allowing one earned run while striking out six and converted one save.
Jett Ruby, Infielder, Crystal Lake Cardinals (incoming freshman)
Ruby is on the Crystal Lake Cardinals this summer and will join the Bulldogs as a freshman infielder from Buchanan High School.Â
