'Dogs rise to 6th in ITA NW Region

Fresno State climbed to sixth in the competitive ITA Northwest Region final rankings for 2022.
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Fresno State women's tennis team finished the 2022 season ranked sixth in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women's Regional Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point.
In 2022, Fresno State won the outright Mountain West regular season championship with a perfect 10-0 record in conference play and 20-4 overall to rank 65th nationally.

This is the second straight season that the Bulldogs have ended the season regionally ranked – rising from 10th in 2021 to sixth in 2022.

2022 MW Women's Tennis Player of the Year Pang Jittakoat also climbed into the regionally rankings – checking in at No. 18 in the ITA NW region in singles.

The All-MW doubles duo of Jittakoat and teammate Matilde Magrini was ranked ninth in the northwest region, which marks the second-straight season that head coach Denise Dy's program has had a doubles pair in the Top 10 in the season-ending regional rankings.

The regional rankings include the top 10 teams, top 20 singles, and top 10 doubles for every region.Â
