FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State Athletics and the Bulldog Foundation are excited to announce "The Marvin & Tish Meyers Champions Circle" – an exclusive philanthropic giving society designed to maximize the resources for Bulldog student-athletes and improve the landscape of Fresno State Athletics.
"The Marvin and Tish Meyers Champions Circle allows Fresno State Athletics and the Bulldog Foundation to fully leverage the importance of philanthropic giving by celebrating the success of our student-athletes, highlighting the importance of our University, and elevating the renown of our community," Fresno State President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval said. "We are excited to create this new initiative, and we are even more excited to witness the collective impact of our donors and community on our student-athletes and our region."
The Meyers Champions Circle is designed to honor donors whose major gift commitments rise above and beyond their annual giving requirements for seats and parking. Gifts can be directed to any of the following funds:
While the Meyers Champions Circle is philanthropic in nature, members will have access to unique stewardship opportunities designed to provide a deeper connection with Fresno State Athletics.
"The Meyers Family's example continues to articulate the impact that philanthropy has on our student-athletes. The strength of a united Red Wave can propel us toward our goals to raise the necessary funds to ensure our athletics success in the Mountain West and nationally," Fresno State Athletics Director Terry Tumey said. "This initiative will help us honor and recognize those who make the commitments to position the 'Dogs for sustained success."
Membership in the Meyers Champions Circle requires a philanthropic "major gift" financial commitment. Consistent with university policies, major gifts are at least $25,000 or more over a five-year period (for example, $5,000 annually for 5 years) and are recognized for the duration of an active pledge.
"Fresno State Athletics – For The V: The Central Valley" – Bulldog student-athletes, coaches, and staff proudly wear the "Green V" to show their pride in representing the Central Valley. Stories of why the Bulldogs play for the "Green V" will be shared throughout the next year with #ForTheV. To become a Bulldog Foundation member or learn more about the Meyers Champions Circle and other opportunities to impact Fresno State student-athletes, please call 559-278-7160 or visit bulldogfoundation.org.

- Capital Projects: Investments in Capital Projects enable Fresno State Athletics and the Bulldog Foundation to fund capital building projects. These funds help support current projects while also identifying funding for upcoming projects and planning.
- Scholarship Endowments: Scholarship Endowments provide critical long-term sustainable funding for Fresno State athletic scholarships. Each dollar contributed is invested, and the proceeds are utilized to offset the educational expenses of our student-athletes. Fresno State awards approximately 400 student-athletes $8 million in scholarships annually.
- Sport Specific Funds for Excellence: Each sport at Fresno State has a Fund for Excellence that is designated to assist in funding the areas of greatest operational need, as determined by the head coach and Fresno State Athletics Administration. These funds are vital for teams to have every opportunity to compete for Mountain West and national titles.
