Head Coach Eric Hubbard announced the 2022-23 competition schedule
FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State head coach Eric Hubbard announced on Monday the competition schedule for the Bulldogs' upcoming 2022-23 slate. Fresno State enters its fourth season as a member of the Big 12, and looks to build on the success it has had since joining the conference.
Â
"Our schedule is a tough one this year," said Hubbard. "We will have to work hard all year long and not let off the pedal. We are looking forward to the challenge and all that it brings."
Â
The Bulldogs return to the saddle with their annual Red vs. Blue Scrimmage at the Student Horse Center on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m.
Â
The regular season gets started at home as the Bulldogs host Texas A&M (Sept. 30) and Auburn (Oct. 15), before closing out the fall slate with four-straight meets on the road. In two separate weekend travel trips, Fresno State will face Big 12 opponents TCU (Nov. 3) and Oklahoma State (Nov. 4) to open the fall road schedule. The 'Dogs are back on the road on Nov. 17-18, facing Texas A&M and Baylor on their home horses, respectively.
Â
The spring will be busy at the Student Horse Center as Fresno State hosts four regular season meets in Fresno with no road contests in that section of the season.
Â
Opening the spring is a home meet weekend with Minnesota Crookston and Baylor in competition with the Bulldogs on Feb. 3-4, respectively. Fresno State will host another conference opponent a week later as TCU comes to Fresno on Feb. 10. The Bulldogs will honor their senior class on Mar. 4 against Oklahoma State.
Â
The 2023 Big 12 Equestrian Championship is scheduled for Mar. 24-25 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The 2023 NCEA National Championship makes its return to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla. on April 13-15.
Â
Parking and admission are free of charge at the Student Horse Center.
