NCEA announces preseason rankings

WACO, Texas - The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced its 2022-23 preseason national rankings on Tuesday afternoon. Fresno State ranks eighth in the nation in the preseason rankings.

The Bulldogs were the No. 8 team in the country in four-straight rankings announcements to end the season last year. The Bulldogs ranked as high as No. 6 a season ago. Fresno State has ranked as high as No. 4 in the nation, in program history.

All four Big 12 equestrian programs rank within the Top 10, with Oklahoma State being the preseason top-ranked team.
Fresno State will host five Top 10 teams at the Student Horse Center this season - Texas A&M, Auburn, Baylor, TCU and Oklahoma State.

Fresno State's season officially begins with a home meet against No. 2 Texas A&M on Friday, Sept. 30. The teams will face off at the Student Horse Center at 11 a.m. PT. Parking and admission are always free of charge.
