IRVING, Texas - Fresno State had two players pick up Rider of the Month honors by the Big 12 in the month of November in Sara Tuck (flat) and Shelby Robinette (co-reining), the conference office announced on Wednesday. The pair earned the first monthly honors for the Bulldogs this season by the conference.
Â
Tuck, who was also named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Flat Rider of the Month today, was undefeated in the month of November, defeating three ranked opponents. All three of her wins were against ranked opponents, with two of them coming on the road in back-to-back days. Tuck also won two MOPs on the month. Tuck's MOP point against SMU was the final decision in the close meet, earning Fresno State's first win of the season and first win over a Top 2 team since the Spring of 2021. Her other two wins each came against Big 12 opponents.
Â
Robinette went undefeated on the month, winning three-straight to close out the fall season. She defeated three ranked opponents, including two Big 12 opponents. Her point against SMU helped Fresno State to defeat a Top 2 team for the first time since the Spring of 2021. Robinette's 72.5 against the Mustangs secured the highest reining score by a Bulldog this season.
Â
Robinette picks up her first career Big 12 monthly honor, and her second career monthly honor having won the NCEA award in September of last season. Tuck earns her second career Big 12 Rider of the Month honor.
