- Fresno State is coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Cal Cup with wins over No. 11 UC Davis & No. 14 San Jose State.
- The Bulldogs sit No. 8 in this week's CWPA rankings.
- The 'Dogs will face a pair of top 25 opponents this weekend in Bracket C of the Triton Invitational in No. 21 San Diego State and No. 5 Hawaii before the rest of the tournament's opponents is determined by results.
- The Bulldogs bring back 11 returners and welcome eight newcomers this season.
- The 'Dogs will be in Bracket C of the Triton Invitational and will face No. 21 San Diego State on Friday morning and No. 5 Hawaii on Saturday morning before the remainder of the tournament is determined by results.
- Bracket A will include No. 2 USC, No. 13 Indiana, No. 16 UC Santa Barbara & Concordia, Bracket B will feature No. 3 UCLA, No. 12 UC Davis, No. 18 UC San Diego & No. 24 CSUN and Bracket D will be No. 7 Long Beach State, No. 9 UC Irvine & No. 22 LMU.
- 12 of the 14 teams competing at the Triton Invitational are from California with Indiana and Hawaii being the two non-California teams.
- 13 of the 14 teams are ranked in the top 25 with six top 10 teams in attendance.
- The Bulldogs finished the season with an overall record of 19-8 and went a perfect 7-0 in the GCC.
- The 'Dogs won their second straight GCCÂ regular season championship and went on to win their second straight GCC tournament title with an 11-8 win over Loyola Marymount.
- Head coach Natalie Benson was named the GCC Coach of the Year for a second straight season.
- The Bulldogs bring back three All-GCC selections from last season in Paula Nieto Jasny, who was a second team selection, while Daphne Guevremont was tabbed an honorable mention and Brooke Ochoa earned GCC All-Freshman honors.
- The Bulldogs moved up one spot to No. 8 in this week's Collegiate Water Polo Association rankings.
- The 'Dogs opened the season at No. 8 in the CWPA rankings before moving down to No. 9 for two weeks and are now back up at No. 8.
- The Bulldogs defeated No. 11 UC Davis and No. 14 San Jose State at the Cal Cup while falling to No. 1 Stanford.
- Brooke Ochoa led the Bulldogs with 10 goals in the three matches at the Cal Cup, including five against No. 11 UC Davis.
- Daphne Guevremont added seven goals in the tournament and now shares the team lead for goals this season with Ochoa at 14.
- San Diego State is 2-2 on the season with a pair of wins at the UCSB Winter Invite defeating Cal State Fullerton & Pomona-Pitzer.
- The Aztecs fell to No. 3 UCLA & No. 15 Wagner.
- SDSU went 13-17 in the 2022 season with a 4-3 mark in the GCC. The Aztecs took fourth at the GCC Championships.
- Hawaii is 5-0 with wins over San Jose State, Loyola Marymount, Marist, Michigan & Fresno State.
- The Rainbow Wahine defeated Fresno State, 13-6 in their last contest at the Fresno State Invite on Jan. 22.
- Hawaii went 16-6 last season with a 6-0 mark in the Big West.
