FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team rallied for a thrilling 4-3 win over the No. 54-ranked BYU Cougars on Wednesday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
Fresno State (6-6) earned four victories in singles at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 positions to defeat the Cougars for the second straight season.
Last week, Fresno State nearly picked up another road win, but fell short at Saint Mary's College by the final score of 4-3 and then had its match at San Francisco canceled due to inclement weather.
The Bulldogs, who won the 2022 Mountain West regular season championship with a perfect 10-0 record, now turn their focus to their title defense, which begins on March 24 when Fresno State hosts No. 43 Colorado State.
