'Dogs earn ACWPC all-academic honors

FRESNO, Calif. - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) released its 2023 All-Academic honorees, and Fresno State had 14 student-athletes named to a team.

To be selected to the prestigious list, student-athletes must have dressed for competition at least once in the season. Nominees must achieve a 3.2 cumulative Grade Point Average or higher based on the most recent semester grades. The ACWPC has three tiers to its all-academic teams – Outstanding (4.0-3.71 GPA), superior (3.70-3.41 GPA), and excellent (3.40-3.20 GPA).

Fresno State had a successful 2023 season both in and out of the pool. The Bulldogs won their third-straight Golden Coast Conference regular season and tournament championship. The 'Dogs finished the season with an overall record of 18-9, and had a 7-0 record in conference play.
