STOCKTON, Calif. – Despite holding a 9-7 shot advantage, Pacific was much more clinical on Thursday night in a 3-0 defeat for Fresno State on the road at Knoles Field.

Each side put four of their shots on target.

How It Happened
Pacific got the board with its second shot of the night in the 16^th minute. Getting the ball on the left side, Lauren Frohan ripped a rising shot back across goal past the outstretched hands of Valentina Vivas. The Tigers doubled their advantage just over six minutes later. Haley Johnson rolled a cross into the penalty spot where Alexis Pashales went top right corner.

Ciara Wilson tried to bring one back in the 30^th, but her strike from inside 12 yards just left of the post. Eight minutes later, a quick counter attack resulted in a 3-0 lead for Pacific. With Vivas charging out, Anaya Shelton slipped it past the Bulldog keeper.

The Bulldogs totaled six shots in the opening 45 minutes, putting two on frame, but couldn't find the back of the net.

Fresno State put two more on target in the second half, attempting three, but the match ended just as the first half did.
