FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State swim and dive team are set for their first road contest test of the season against Nevada at Lombardi Pool on Saturday, Oct, 26 at noon. The duel meet will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network.Â
BULLDOG BONES
- Bulldogs prepare for their first duel meet of the season at NevadaÂ
- For the first time in program history Fresno State defeated Nevada in a duel meet on Oct. 28, 2023
- Four Bulldogs earned personal bests in the season opener at the Fresno State Invite; Franzi Djatej, Sera Hanagan, Jenna Pulkkinen and Aliz Kalmar
- Freshman Makaela Perea earned a career best in the 100 backstroke (59.72)
- Fresno State comes off a third place finish at the MPSF Open Water Championships, their best finish since its inception in 2023
- Both swimmers and divers will travel to Nevada for the meetÂ
- Aliz Kalmar begins her season with a Aquatic Center Record in the 200 breaststroke in the season opening meetÂ

Bulldogs rank at the top of the Mountain West going into their first duel meet of the season.Â
- Aliz Kalmar racks in three top-3 rankings in the MW, Kalmar comes in blazing at No. 2 in the women's 100 & 200 breaststroke and 400 IMÂ
- Julia Matney collects two to her name at No. 3 in the women's 100 butterfly and No. 14 in the 50 freestyleÂ
- Laura Kalmar sits at No. 4 in the 1650 freestyleÂ
- 'Dogs tie it up for the top spot with Nevada in the 200 Medley Relay for a time of 1:41.72
SERIES HISTORYÂ
For the first time in program history Fresno State defeated Nevada in a duel meet at the Fresno State Aquatics Center on Oct. 28, 2023, 177-123. Fresno State and Nevada will meet for the fifteenth time in program history and the sixth time in Reno. Nevada leads the all-time meetings 14-1 and is undefeated against Fresno State at Lombardi Pool, 5-0.Â
OPPONENT OUTLOOKÂ
- Head coach Brendon Bray enters his ninth season at NevadaÂ
- Kiera-Lee Allott and Bailey Heydra are the Mountain West's most recent Swimmer and Diver of the Week recipients
- Nevada opened their season with a dominant win at Lombardi Pool over Cal State East Bay, 156-81 and is most recently coming off a win against UC DavisÂ
- Wolf Pack is currently 2-0 in duel meets and holds a 1-0 record at home this season
- Last season Nevada finished the Mountain West Conference Championships in 5th place with 854.5 points
- Last season the Wolf Pack sent three swimmers to the NCAA Championships with two earning Top-25 finishes.Â
