No. 7 Bulldogs stun No. 4 Cowgirls in tiebreaker win

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 7 Fresno State equestrian team wrapped up its fall slate with a raw score tiebreaker victory over No. 4 Oklahoma State at the Student Horse Center on Friday afternoon, 1583.88-1541.63.

The Bulldogs defeated Oklahoma State for the first time since March of 2023, and just the third time since October 2019. Fresno State earned its first home win of the season on Friday, while defeating a Top 5 ranked team for the first time this season, and the first time since Nov. 2023.

The Bulldogs swept the jumping seat Most Outstanding Performer honors against the Cowgirls. Paris Mahoney earned her third fences MOP of the year while Autumn Bradbury picked up her first career flat MOP.

How it happened
The Bulldogs and Cowgirls finished the opening half tied at four apiece. Oklahoma State took the horsemanship 3-1-1. Fresno State won its point by Abby Goddard with a 73.25. Freshman Hailey Olson tied in her ride with a 73.25.

Fresno State managed to even things up with a 3-1-1 win in the fences. Olivia Ferro opened the event up with a 84.5-77.5 victory. Paloma Primavera tied in her ride with a 78.5. The Bulldogs ended the event with back-to-back wins from Averey Pritchard and Mahoney. The MOP ride by Mahoney saw a score of 85 to her opponent's 72.5.

Oklahoma State took back control with a 5-0 sweep in the reining, but the Bulldogs continued to ride strong on the jumping seat side and bounced back with a 5-0 sweep of their own to end the meet with a 9-9 overall score.
The Bulldogs a part of the flat sweep were Yasmin Roman, Bradbury, Sage Lindvall, Molly Stewart and Mahoney. Bradbury secured her first career MOP with a career-high 88.5 to her opponent's 80. Lindvall rode for a 76-57 victory. Mahoney secured the overall tie with a stunning 83.5 over the Oklahoma State's 81.5.
