'Dogs drop road match to Rams

FORT COLLINS, Colo.- Fresno State women's tennis team dropped their road match to the Rams Sunday afternoon at the CSU Tennis Complex, 4-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Bulldogs started the weekend jumping a few hurdles to face the Rams, after having to move the match indoors and pushing the start time back an hour.
With doubles underway, Rams got themselves on an early lead taking the matches on courts one and three, to claim the point. Matilde Magrini and Misaki Kobayashi's match ended with Rams' pair Zhadzinskaya/Buzkova taking it 6-4.
Taking it three at a time, Magrini, Kobayashi and Carolina Piferi took the court for singles play first. Colorado State pushed their lead to three after claiming the first two singles matches. Magrini fell to Lennon, 6-2, in both sets. While Buzkova defeated Kobayashi in both sets, 6-2.
Fresno's only point came from the racket of Piferi and for the second time this week, grabbed a point for the 'Dogs. Piferi fell in the first set in a tiebreaker, 6(5)-6(7) to Avelar. Fighting back, Piferi took the next two sets to grab the point, 6-2, 6-0.
Rams saw their final point come from Weekly defeating Charlotte Gisclon fell 6-0, 7-5 on court four. Matches on court five and six were left unfinished.
