Bulldogs tied for sixth after day one in Boulder City

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Fresno State women's golf team finished day one at the Clash at Boulder Creek tied for sixth place, posting a score of an even-par 576 at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
After sitting in fourteenth place after the first round, Fresno State climbed up eight spots in the second round as the Bulldogs shot 9-under to head into the final round in a tie for sixth place.
Amelia Garibaldi is tied for fourth place after two rounds. After shooting 1-under in the first round, Garibaldi moved eleven spots up the leaderboard in the second round after posting a score of 4-under 68 with five birdies.
Lara Goerlich shot an even-par through two rounds including ten birdies and an eagle which she recorded in round two. Vunnisa Vu was 2-over after day one with six birdies and also recorded an eagle in round two. Goerlich currently sits tied for 25th while Vu enters the final day of the competition tied for 42nd.
Hyojeong Kang shot 4-over and Katelyn Lehigh was 13-over.
Competing as an individual, Sara Rampoldi wrapped up her day at 9-over.
