Bulldog offense struggles against Rams

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Fresno State volleyball fell in straight sets (13-25, 13-25, 11-25) to Colorado State on Thursday night at Moby Arena. The Bulldogs move to 6-16 overall and 2-9 in Mountain West play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fresno State opened the night with a kill from Brooklyn Washington, but the Rams quickly took control behind a 9-1 run to pull away early. Haluska tallied three kills in the opening frame, but the Bulldogs couldn't slow a CSU attack that hit .267.
The Rams again jumped out to a fast start in the second set, taking an early 6-1 lead. Fresno State saw kills from Haluska and Jenna Legault, along with a service ace from Xiong, but CSU hit .364 in the set with three service aces to extend its match lead to 2-0.
Fresno State's offense showed brief momentum early with kills from Haluska, Mya Sellers and Peyton Bitter, but Colorado State's balance across the net proved too much. The Rams hit .400 in the final frame to secure the sweep.
