Marr named MW Freshman of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State's Ava Marr was named the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Marr grabs the conference's first weekly honor of the season.

Guard, Brier, Washington/Archbishop Murphy HS
- Guided the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week to open the season against Fresno Pacific (87-38) and CSU Bakersfield (74-51).
- Averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
- Against the Sunbirds, logged 15 points, six rebounds and three steals.
- Against the Roadrunners, registered six points and three rebounds.
- Ava Marr earns her first MW Weekly Honor of her career and first for the Bulldogs this season
- Marr is the fourth Bulldog to be named Freshman of the Week in their career since 2021 joining Tamia Stricklin, Kylee Fox and Taija Sta. Maria
- Marr is the first recipient of the award this season
- Over two games Marr posted 21 points (10.5 ppg), 9 rebounds (4.5 rpg), 51 minutes (25.8 mpg) and shot 44% from the field (8-of-18) and 30% from deep (4-of-13)
