FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State football team has accepted its invitation to The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented by Ginn & Juice by Dre & Snoop, announced in coordination with the bowl game on Sunday. Fresno State (8-4, 5-3 MW) will face Miami (OH) (7-6, 6-2 MAC). Kickoff at Arizona Stadium in Tucson is set for December 27 at 1:30 p.m. PT on The CW.
Fresno State will participate in its fifth bowl game in the past five seasons, and its 34th bowl game in program history. Fresno State is 17-16 all-time in bowl games and has won five of its last six dating back to 2017.
The Bulldogs are led by first-year head coach Matt Entz, who became the fifth first-year head coach to lead the program to a bowl game in his first year. With a win, he would join Jeff Tedford (2017) as the only two first-year head coaches to win the bowl game in their first season as head coach.
Fresno State will face Miami (OH) for the first time in program history. This will also be Fresno State's first-ever appearance in the Arizona Bowl.
