FRESNO, Calif. - Three Fresno State swimmers are set to compete in the TYR Pro Series this week in Sacramento beginning on Wednesday, April 2 through Saturday, March 5 at the North Natomas Aquatic Center.
This is a national level meet that will be swam in long course meters in a prelims-finals format, with no team or individual scoring. The top three finishers in the event will be awarded prize money.
QUICK LOOK
- Fresno State swim team will send three Bulldogs to compete in the TYR Pro Series - Aliz Kalmar, Laura Kalmar and Jenna Pulkkinen
- Aliz Kalmar and Jenna Pulkkinen are coming off the NCAA Swim & Dive Championships, Kalmar placed in the top 16 in the 200 breaststroke
- Laura Kalmar's last meet was at the 2025 Mountain West Championships
- Kalmar and Pulkkinen will have the opportunity to swim events other than breaststroke this week, entering in the freestyle and IM
- This is the first long course meet of the summer for the Bulldogs
- Freshman Ryley Clark will be swimming and representing her local swim club, Phoenix Swim Club
- This is the second of four pro-series meets this summer, with the Pro Championships set for August 5-8 in Irvine
- The pro-series will feature a wide variety of swimmers from the collegiate level to professional and Olympic swimmers, as well as top-level age group swimmers
