Neiss named MW Pitcher of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresno State junior Serayah Neiss was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.Â
The Newberg, Ore. native led the Bulldogs to a series sweep over New Mexico, going 3-0 over the weekend. The sweep clinched a spot in the Mountain West CU1 Softball Championship .She totaled 12.2 innings, 19 strikeouts with a 1.92 ERA.Â
The left-handed tossed 4.1 innings with six strikeouts in game one, before setting a new season-high with eight strikeouts in 5.0 innings in game two. She finished off the series with five strikeouts in 3.1 innings.Â
This is Neiss' second weekly conference award of the season.Â
