Fleck named MW Swimming Coach of the Year

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced today the 2025 women's swimming & diving postseason accolades as voted on by the leagues 10 head coaches. San Diego State collected two of the four postseason honors while Washington State and Fresno State received the remaining two.

Coach Fleck earns her first 'of the year' honor of her career, coming in addition to another monumental season for the Bulldogs. This season the Bulldogs posted a series of program milestones, in-season and beyond.

Fleck finished her 17^th season leading the Fresno State Swimming & Diving program and was selected for the first time as the MW Swimming Coach of the Year. She led two swimmers to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship this season, Aliz Kalmar and Jenna Pulkkinen, for the first time since 2016. They were the first Bulldog breaststrokers since the program was reinstated in 2008. Fleck had seven swimmers named 2025 All-Mountain West honorees.

Top performances were plentiful this season with program records being broken 11 times and three Aquatic Center records. For the first time in her career, Coach Fleck had every swimmer achieve a personal best swim this season, an uncommon feat.

Fleck sent her largest group of swimmers to NCAA's this season with three Bulldogs, all in their first appearance - Grace Ally, Aliz Kalmar and Jenna Pulkkinen. She coached Kalmar to a top-16 finish in the 200 breaststroke and an All-American second team nod.
