Collins and Heintz earn MW Weekly Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State Baseball's Sky Collins was named Mountain West Player of the Week, while Parker Heintz earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors following their performances against Stanford last weekend, the conference announced Monday.
SKY COLLINS – MW PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior Sky Collins led the Bulldogs at the plate last weekend with a .467 average, going 7-for-15 in the series finale against Pepperdine and the three-game series at Stanford.
In the Bulldogs' series win over Stanford, Collins went 6-for-12 and recorded two doubles.
The centerfielder totaled five RBI and five runs scored with nine total bases last week. He owned a .600 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage. In addition, Collins stole a pair of bases and had 16 putouts and an assist.
PARKER HEINTZ – MW FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
True freshman Parker Heintz had a standout debut for the Bulldogs this week, pitching 7.0 shutout innings over two appearances and a start.
The lefty held batters to a .045 average last week, allowing only one hit in total, and earned his first save by pitching 4.0 hitless innings against Stanford.
In his first career start, he pitched three scoreless innings and held the Waves to one hit.
