FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball team will open the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship as the seventh seed to take on No. 10 Nevada in the third game of the opening round. The tournament begins on Saturday March 7 with Fresno State set to play at 5 p.m. PT.

With a win against Nevada, Fresno State can make their way to the quarterfinal round to take on No. 2 UNLV on Sunday, March 8 at 5:00 p.m. PT.
A trip to the semifinal game for the Bulldogs can feature the winner of game four against Colorado State on Sunday night.

In 2017, the Bulldogs also opened the tournament against Nevada, who was seeded tenth. In the run, the 'Dogs also took down the No. 2 seed in the quarterfinal round (Wyoming, 58-48).
This is the second time in program history that the 'Dogs have been seeded seventh.
