FRESNO, Calif. — Fresno State women's tennis earned a 4-0 victory over Weber State on Sunday afternoon at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center, improving to 7-4 on the season.
How it happened
The Bulldogs secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Eliza Dunbar and Klara Vukicevic opened the day with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, and the duo of Gianna Mastro and Sofia Pizzoni followed with a 6-2 victory on court three.
In singles play, Fresno State quickly added to its lead with straight-set victories on three courts. Andjela Lopicic earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles, while Eliza Dunbar posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court three. Louna Cormier clinched the match for the Bulldogs with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 decision at No. 5 singles. Three singles matches went unfinished after Fresno State secured the team victory, including battles on courts one, four and six.
