FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State Softball faces off against the Stanford Cardinal in a midweek clash on Wednesday afternoon at Margie Wright Diamond, first pitch is set for 3 p.m. PT.Â
Fresno State returns for MW play the same week taking a trip to the land of enchantment visiting New Mexico for a three-game series.Â

Alyssa Ramirez had a standout weekend, the senior marked her first career start as a pitcher in the second game against Colorado State. Ramirez completed her first game on the mound with three strikes, allowing one run with 24 batters faced. Alongside her time on the mound, Ramirez hit two homeruns, one in each game against Colorado State and collected two RBI's on three hits.Â
This season Ramirez has taken on the role as a relief pitcher for the 'Dogs. prior to her first start the senior held a 2-1 record with wins over Pacific and CSU Bakersfield, she now holds a 3-1 record this season.Â
Carranco stands tallÂ
Lauryn Carrano continues to play strong in stride, in the first game against the Rams she struck out seven going into eight innings. Carranco holds 12 wins this season supported by 95Â strikeouts and 135 innings pitched. In the last five games, the starting pitcher holds a 3-2 record with three games being her longest win streak this season.Â
The Clovis, Calif. native takes high rankings in the nation, sitting fourth in complete games (17), 20th in shutouts (4) and 21st in innings pitched (135).Â
