ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Fresno State softball team dropped the series to New Mexico after a run rule at Lobo Softball Field on Sunday morning, 12-1.Â
How it happenedÂ
Fresno State had to work from behind as New Mexico got off to a strong start with a nine run inning in the second. Alyssa Ramirez came into the game midway through the second to relieve Lauryn Carranco. Ramirez let up the next five. It was a three up, three down on both sides for the third inning.Â
Fresno State got on the board in fourth with Alyssa Rebolledo's double for the first hit and run of the morning. Rebolledo got pushed home off of Ramirez's at bat. Mallory Vancleave's hit came at the top of the second. Lobo's collected three more runs in the fourth.Â
