How it happenedÂ
Fresno State struck first in the opening frame. Emma Martinez doubled and later came around to score on Jamie Hicks' RBI single to center, giving the Bulldogs an early 1-0 lead.
Nevada answered with three runs in the bottom of the first, but Fresno State chipped away from there. Jerzie Liana delivered a solo home run in the fourth inning to pull the Bulldogs within one at 3-2.
Bulldogs then put together their biggest push in the fifth. Kealani Nitta singled to start the inning and Martinez followed with a base hit. With two runners on, Alyssa Rebolledo lined a two-run double that brought home both Nitta and Martinez and moved Fresno State back in front, 4-3. Nevada opened the seventh with back-to-back base runners and tied the game before a walk-off grand slam.
