How it happenedÂ
Alyssa Rebolledo marked the first of four runs in the opening inning. Rebolledo cashed in on an error by the Aztecs right fielder allowing Jamie Hicks to arrive at third. Alyssa Ramirez brought in the remaining with a three-run home run to deep center, her fourth of the season. Fresno State carried the lead out of the first and stayed in front the rest of the way.
San Diego State answered with a single run in the third fourth, but the Bulldogs responded each time.
Ramirez added a sacrifice fly in the third to extend the lead to 5-1, and Jayda Crosby broke the game open further in the fourth with a two-run homer pushing the 'Dogs in front, 7-2. Vancleave capped the scoring in the fifth with an RBI double to left.
