Bulldogs head to Stockton for exhibition with Pacific

FRESNO, Calif. - With Fresno State entering its inaugural season as members of the Pac-12, the Fresno State women's soccer team will see action for the first time this season when they travel to Stockton for an exhibition match against Pacific on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will return to Bulldog Soccer Stadium the following week for their season opener against UC Davis on August 12th.

BOLTON AT THE HELM
Gabriel Bolton was named the fifth head coach of the Fresno State women's soccer program on December 24, 2025.
- Bolton comes to Fresno State from CSU Stanislaus, leaving as the winningest head coach in their women's soccer program history after compiling a 223-123-48 record after 21 seasons
- In his 21 seasons as head coach, Bolton led the Warriors to 11 postseason appearances, culminating in two CCAA Tournament titles, four appearances in the NCAA Tournament, and a 2014 NCAA West Region Championship
- Joining Bolton on his coaching staff for the 2026 season is Hannah Bolton (Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator), Amanda Valentine (Assistant Coach/Goalkeeper Coach), and Brynn Phillips (Assistant Coach/ Director of Player Operations)

- The group of returners is highlighted by senior Katie Morris, a three-year starter as a defender who has totaled seven points in her career and was named captain during the spring season
- Sophomore Abigail Herren returns after ending her freshmen campaign in the top-5 in points, goals and assists for the Bulldogs
- Fresno State's returners combined for 26pts, 7 goals and 12 assists during the 2025 season

- Six freshman will embark on their collegiate soccer careers as Fresno State Bulldogs including Jewelisa Gomez, Kaitlyn Conner, Niamh McVey, Mariona Sene, Alexa Castaneda, and Miley Blough
- Fresno State welcomed 12 transfers to their program in Jessie Reiss (Oral Roberts), Brooke Bowman (Prairie View A&M), Selah Simms (Oregon), Alexis Dueker (San Jose State), Daisy Torres (San Jose State), Maggie Koerwitz (USF), Ava Kelly (CSU Stanislaus), Scarlette Druian (UNLV), Jordan Sprague (LMU), Kyleigh Sekulich (UC Riverside) Aryana Martinez (Sacramento State), and Jinan Said (Saddleback Community College)

- Fresno State is 3-2-1 all-time against Pacific
- Pacific ended their 2025 season with a 4-9-2 overall record, including a 1-6-4 conference record
- The Bulldogs are 0-2-1 in their last three matchups with Pacific during the regular season, with their last win over the Tigers coming in 2019 at home (4-2, Sept.1).
- Fresno State's last win in Stockton came on August 18, 2017, when the Bulldogs recorded a 3-0 shutout win over the Tigers
