FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's soccer team secured their fifth point of the season on Sunday after drawing with CSU Bakersfield, 2-2, at Bulldog Soccer Stadium

HOW IT HAPPENED
Fresno State got the scoring started early in the fifth minute of the match. A pass from Taitana Saunders found the leg of Hayden Crotty-Romero who made a move around a Roadrunner defender before finding the back of the net to give Fresno State a 1-0 lead.

CSU Bakersfield tested goaltender Kennedy Arntzen with shots in the 22nd and 26th minute, but Arntzen kept the Bulldogs in front with saves on both scoring chances. The Roadrunners nearly brought the game level in the 41st minute, but failed to capitalize on a penalty kick that sailed over the net as Fresno State held their 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Roadrunners tied the match two minutes into the second half after their goalkeeper sent a pass into the 18-yard box that a Roadrunner forward collected before beating Arntzen.

With less than 20 to play, the Bulldogs regained the lead in the 73rd minute. Daisy Torres sent a shot from just outside the top of the box that hit the crossbar before landing in front of Crotty-Romero who beat the Roadrunner netminder for the second time in the match.

Holding a 2-1 lead, the Bulldogs surrendered the tying goal after failing to clear the ball from inside the 18-yard box, resulting in an own goal.

The Roadrunners challenged Arntzen with their final scoring chance of the match in the 82nd minute, but the Bulldog goalie made the save as the match between CSU Bakersfield and Fresno State ended in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
