| Terry Pettis was named gobulldogs.com's Athlete of the Week after his big games against Rice and Tulsa last week. The sophomore guard scored a career-high 22 points against Rice in the Bulldogs' 65-63 loss. His three-pointer with 16.8 seconds left momentarily tied the game at 63-63 until the Owls made a last-second shot. Pettis also added four rebounds and three assists in that contest. Two days later, another strong performance by Pettis led to a Fresno State win. He totaled a game-high 20 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Bulldogs snapped their two-game losing streak with a 68-61 victory over Tulsa. On the year, Pettis leads Fresno State in scoring with a 14.5 average. | ||
