Kody Batesole enters his fifth season as a member of the Bulldogs coaching staff as he is in his second year as the director of operations in 2020 after spending the last three seasons as an undergraduate coach from 2016-18.
Batesole helped the 'Dogs capture their second Mountain West championship in 2019 along with their first Mountain West Tournament title and return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012 as the 'Dogs made the Stanford Regional final.
In his first season on the Bulldogs staff in 2016, the Bulldogs won the Mountain West regular season title and the 'Dogs earned runner-up honors at the 2017 Mountain West Tournament.
The son of head coach Mike Batesole, Kody was a member of the 2014 Diamond Dogs as he redshirted the season.
Batesole was a three-year letter winner as a shortstop at Buchanan High School in Clovis, Calif., under coach Tom Donald upon graduating in the spring of 2013. He was a member of the national championship team that clinched the No. 1 ranking in the ESPN RISE POWERADE Fab 50 national rankings in 2011 and graduated high school with a 3.0 GPA.
Batesole graduated with a marketing major in the spring of 2018 and has two older sisters, Kassy and Kally, and one younger brother, Korby who finished his Bulldog career in 2018 and went on to be a 26th-round selection of the Boston Red Sox in the 2018 MLB Draft.
