Steve Hosey enters his first season as the Diamond 'Dogs volunteer assistant coach in 2022.
A Bulldog from 1987-89, Hosey finished in the top 10 in program history in doubles (43). In 1988, he finished fourth in single-season doubles (26), sixth in runs (78), seventh in hits (108) & RBI (73) on his way to All-American honors by Baseball America.
A native of Oakland, Hosey went on to be a first-round selection in the 1989 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants seeing time in the majors in 1992 and 1993 hitting a home run and driving in seven RBI in 24 games.

After his playing days were over, Hosey has gone on to be a successful business man, real estate broker, and the Director of Parent Engagement and Training for Family Leadership, Inc.
In addition, Steve has served as a leader in his church, providing mentorship and guidance to young people for over a decade. His passion to give back to the community and his commitment to developing healthy families throughout Fresno and the Central San Joaquin Valley is reflected in the work he does through Family Leadership.
Hosey was inducted into the Bulldog Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996 and was a part of the 1988 Bulldogs who who a school-record 56 games and advanced to the College World Series.
