High School: A 2016 graduate of Gahr High School in Cerritos, Calif., Carvajal was the Gahr HS Rookie of the Year as a sophomore in 2014 and earned the team’s Most Improved Pitcher as a junior in 2015... also helped lead his summer ball club the Playa Vista Orioles to Runner-Up Silver honors... helped lead the Gladiators to a 25-7 mark as a senior in 2016, including a perfect 10-0 record in conference action... on the mound as a junior, Carvajal went 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in 16.1 innings with eight strikeouts and held opponents to a .266 batting average... helped lead the Gladitors to a pair of San Gabriel Valley League Championships.
