Maamaloa Mafi enters his first season at Fresno State as a graduate assistant, and will work with the linebacker corp.Â
Mafi, a Fresno State football alum, returns to the program after spending the 2017 and 2018 seasons in pads with the ‘Dogs. He played in every game during his Bulldog playing career, primarily on special teams. Mafi tallied 13 tackles and one pass breakup in his career. Before joining the Bulldogs, Mafi attended Laney College where he earned first team All-League and All-Conference honors.Â
Mafi graduated from Fresno State in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies.Â
