Nick D'Ambra joined the Fresno State coaching staff as Special Teams Quality Control immediately following his collegiate career. D'Ambra sees his first season on staff in 2024, joining the staff ahead of the season in July.
D'Ambra was a Fresno State student-athlete in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, serving as the Bulldogs' primary long snapper. He appeared in all 27 games that he was a Bulldog for, helping the team to a Mountain West Championship in 2022 and bowl game victories in 2022 and 2023. He was a Special Teams U honorable mention All-American in 2023, and earned an invitation to the Tropical Bowl all-star game.Â
He transferred to Fresno State from Western Illinois. He was there from 2018-21, playing multiple positions as a fullback and long snapper for WIU.Â
D'Ambra excelled academically throughout his playing career, earning academic honors in each of the six seasons of his college career.Â
A native of Glen Ellyn, Ill., D'Ambra attended Glenbard South High School where he was a football, track and field and hockey team member. He earned his bachelor's degree in supply chain management and logistics from Western Illinois in December 2021. He is currently working towards his MBA at Fresno State with an expected graduation date of December 2024. Â
