A Fresno State graduate and former student assistant, Hernandez has progressed through multiple roles within the football program, developing a well-rounded understanding of recruiting, player personnel, football operations, and sports performance.
In his current role, Hernandez assists with daily recruiting and personnel operations, including prospect evaluation, advance scouting, roster management, recruiting board development, and coaches' travel coordination. Before joining the player personnel staff full time, Hernandez gained experience in several areas of Fresno State Football. As a recruiting and scouting intern, he contributed to scouting analysis and recruiting operations, while his time as a student assistant included breaking down game and practice film, compiling statistical data, participating in offensive meetings, and serving as an offensive signaler on game days. He also spent time as an equipment manager, assisting with practice organization, game day logistics, equipment coordination, and team operations. Earlier in his collegiate career, Hernandez also completed a sports performance internship with Fresno State Athletics, working alongside strength and conditioning staff while utilizing advanced sport science technology to support student-athlete development.
He graduated from Fresno State in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.
