Kody Hensley joined the Fresno State football staff as Director of Player Personnel in March 2024. Hensley will oversee all aspects of player personnel and recruiting in his role with the Bulldogs.
Hensley was most recently at Idaho State. He served in several roles with the Bengals, including Chief of Staff, outside linebackers coach, and graduate assistant.
As Chief of Staff, Hensley had oversight of recruiting efforts, summer camps and player personnel duties. He spent one year (2023) as the Chief of Staff for Idaho State.
He spent the 2022 season as the team’s outside linebackers coach. That season, he also had responsibilities as a liaison for social media, team communications, and the transfer portal. For the three seasons prior, he remained the outside linebackers coach but had additional responsibilities as the NFL liaison. In his time as a position coach, Hensley coached up several All-Big Sky athletes.
Hensley began his graduate assistantship in January 2018, working alongside defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Roger Cooper.
He earned his bachelors degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports management in December 2018 from Idaho State. He also graduated with a minor in coaching. Hensley earned his masters degree in athletic administration in May 2019.
