Bobby Alvara, a Fresno native, joined the Fresno State Bulldog coaching staff in the summer of 2022. Alvara supports data and metrics analysis, recruiting efforts, and contributes to the Bulldogs' day-to-day operations.
An accomplished athlete, Alvara remains active in competitive play. Most recently, he led his team to victory in the NAFA National Championship (A Division), achieving a perfect 5-0 record as a pitcher and earning the Most Valuable Pitcher (MVP) award.
A dedicated advocate for athletic development in his community, Alvara has provided pitching and hitting instruction throughout the Central Valley. His efforts have helped shape numerous young athletes, many of whom have gone on to compete at various collegiate levels.
Coaching at the collegiate level has been lifelong aspiration for Alvara. Having grown up immersed in the game and witnessing the rich history of Fresno State softball, he considers this opportunity both a privilege and a fulfillment of a personal dream.
