2016 (Freshman): Made two appearances in the circle, tossing 1.1 combined innings of work … faced Sacramento State on Feb. 19 and Loyola Marymount on Feb. 28.
High School: Was a dual-sport athlete and four-year varsity letterwinner in both softball and basketball … was voted team captain in 2015 and capped her senior year with All-City, Cal-Hi first-team All-State, CAL All-League, Optimist All-Star Team, MaxPreps first-team All-State and Cal-Hi D3 Athlete of Honor accolades … named Female Athlete of the Year by Character Combine, Bee Preps Show and MaxPreps Christian Brothers, while earning the Credit Union Athlete of the Week in 2015 … logged back-to-back CVC Honorable Mention honors during her first two seasons and was named all-conference as a junior … the two-year team MVP earned All-Metro first-team honors as a senior, following an honorable mention finish in 2014 … competed for the California Breeze (2005-09), Capital City Comets (2009-12), Nor Cal Patriots (2012-14) and Central Cal Dirt Dogs (2014-15) … attended the 2012 OnDeck Elite Futures Camp and 2013 Colorado Sparkler All-Star/All-American game.
Personal: Daughter of Diana and Kenny McKechnie … younger siblings are Kellan, Kade and sister Kimora … hobbies include anything sports related … looked up to Jennie Finch since childhood because she’s inspirational, always remains composed on the mound and has no fear on the field … admires her parents the most because of the example they set and their consistent good advice … chose Fresno State because of the coaching staff’s welcoming nature, the athletic environment, the fans passion for Bulldog Athletics and the way the team made her feel at home ... majoring in criminology with an emphasis in forensic behavioral studies.
