Keith Ferguson enters his seconds season as an assistant coach with the Fresno State women's basketball team. He was hired on May 21, 2014.
In his nine seasons coaching collegiately, he has seen six of his players receive All-America accolades and 24 that garnered all-conference recognition.
Ferguson comes over to Fresno State after serving the last two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. At UL-Monroe, Ferguson was the recruiting coordinator, coached the guards and was in charge of scheduling.
Prior to UL-Monroe, Ferguson was an assistant coach at Hutchinson Community College in 2011-12. That season, Hutchinson was the national runner-up in the NJCAA Tournament with a 36-1 record and he helped develop five players that went on to receive Division I offers.
Ferguson also has head coaching experience, serving two seasons each as head coach at Brown Mackie Community College (2007-09) and at Barton Community College (2009-11). He compiled a 94-50 (.653) overall record as a head coach.
At Brown Mackie, he coached the program to its first 20-win season and at Barton he led his squad to a runner-up finish in the Jayhawk Conference with a 21-11 overall record.
Other coaching experience under Ferguson's belt includes two seasons as an assistant coach at Kansas Wesleyan University (2004-06) and one season at Salina Central High School (2006-07).
Ferguson holds an associate's degree from Cloud County Community College (2004) and obtained his bachelor's in business management from Bethany College in 2011.
