At the beginning of the 2018-19 season, Jamie Haas (formerly Jamie Pawid) will enter her third season at Fresno State. Last season, Haas played an integral role on the 'Dogs road to their first Mountain West Championship since 2014 and second in school history.
In her first season at Fresno State, Haas helped guide the 'Dogs to a 14-9 record, despite facing a tough nonconference schedule that included four ranked opponents.
The Honolulu, Hawai'i, native came to the Valley after spending the last three years as a player at Saint Mary's (Ca.).Â
After one season at Hawai'i, Haas transferred to Saint Mary's, where she would finish her career as a two-time All-WCC first team selection in singles (2014, 2016) and All-WCC second team in doubles in 2015. She also earned honorable mention in singles during the 2015 season. Haas spent the majority of the 2014 spring season ranked nationally by the ITA. She finished her three-year Gael career with a 35-21 singles record.
Haas was a blue-chip tennis player in high school, ranking as high as No. 22 according to the Tennis Recruiting Network before attending Hawai'i for her freshman season, where she went 21-10 in singles.Â
