THE PAWD: Episode 31 (Gabby Lombardi, Olivia Lombardi)
2025 (R-FRESHMAN): Appeared in all 29 matches and 97 sets for the Bulldogs … led the team with 825 assists and averaged 8.51 assists per set … added 239 digs (2.46 per set), 19 service aces and 27 total blocks … recorded nine double-digit dig matches … posted a season-high 43 assists three times against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Aug. 29), CSUN (Sept. 14) and Wyoming (Nov. 1) … registered a season-high 21 digs against Air Force on Oct. 9 … tallied eight matches with 30 or more assists in Mountain West play … finished the season with 98.0 points and a .933 service percentage.
2024 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted, did not see game action.
HIGH SCHOOL: Started high school career at West Des Moines Valley High School where she lettered as a freshman starter… team made the state quarterfinals… transferred to Des Moines Christian High School… played outside hitter, rightside and setter… lettered as a starter in all three years at Des Moines Valley… won conference all three years… averaged 4.2 assists per set and 3.2 kills per set… was named first team all-state, first team all-conference, all-district and owns the Des Moines Valley kill record… also played soccer and lettered during her freshman and sophomore year as the goalie.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kari and Paul Rossberger… Born in Naperville, Ill. and grew up in Clive, IA… has four siblings, Rocky, Beau, Payton and Olivia… father (Tony Lombardi) played was a running back on the Arizona State football team (1980-‘84)… mom (Kari Rossberger) played volleyball at Minnesota State – Mankato (1991-‘96)… brother (Rocky Lombardi) was a quarterback for Michigan State and Northern Illinois (2017-’23)… brother (Beau Lombardi) was a center on West Point’s football team (2019-’23)… sister (Payton Lombardi) played volleyball at Tennessee Tech as a libero (2020-’21)… sister (Olivia Lombardi) plays volleyball at Iowa as a libero (2023-current)… was also recruited by Dayton and Georgetown… chose Fresno State because of the winning attitude of the coaches & athletes… favorite athlete is Tom Brady because she was named after him… brother serves in the military... majoring in business administration.
