Mackenzie Richards serves as the Fresno State women's water polo volunteer assistant coach.
Richards, who is currently also coaching youth water polo and applying to graduate school, was part of the Bulldogs' inaugural campaign and the winning goalie in Fresno State's first-ever victory on Jan. 20, 2018 against CSUN.Â
During her two-year Bulldog career in goal, Richards recorded 231 saves in 38 appearances, and was named to the 2019 Golden Coast Conference All-Tournament Team. Richards is originally from Simi Valley, Calif., and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Fresno State in 2019.
Prior to playing at Fresno State, Richards was a two-time junior college All-American at Santa Barbara City College, who she led to back-to-back conference championship games.
